Henry Cow (Edit / Remix / Remaster) ----------------------------------- Teatro Lirico, Milano, Italy February 25th 1977 ------------------ Source: Dime download (id=99686) SBD > Master cassette > behringer equalizer > audio cdrw750 > cd > Plextools Editing: Fixed both glitches identified in original post Cross-channel remix (all tracks) Balance correction (all tracks) Selective equalization Some applause removal Transfer: Flac > Nero 7 > Flac Frontend (level 6) Quality: Worth a solid A now ---------------------------- This is an edited / remastered post, with the encouragement of original poster '38f', of the Henry Cow Concert from Teatro Lirico, Milano Feb 25th 1977 The original version was a difficult listen with most of the sound on the LH channel, which could not be fixed using the balance control, indicative often of processing to 'improve' the stereo image, so I edited, remixed and remastered initially for my own interest. This was by far the most time consuming of my HC edits (10-12 hrs) as the sound appears to come from at least 4 different sources (3 different ones on d1t1 alone) whilst the mix is also different between discs 1 and 2. This required selective editing of different parts of individual tracks and (unusually for me) equalising of low / high extremes of the first 4.20 and last 1.00 of d1t1 and the first 0.35 of d2t1 as these came from the poorest quality sources. What you now have here is a very good and (thanks to the original SBD source) listenable Henry Cow performance, one of my favourites now that is slightly more rock than all out improv, and I hope others will appreciate the benefit of my editing work... ... Enjoy!! Band: ---- Fred Frith Guitar, Viola, Piano, Vibes Tim Hodgkinson Organ, Alto, Clarinet Lindsay Cooper Bassoon, oboe, soprano, flute (?), voice (?) Georgie Born Bass, cello, voice (?)
