[Oldfield.Dortmund1980-12-XX.flac16] Flac set shared
as torrent on Dime (unsigned info).
Labelled as sbd but possibly TV broacast or FM transmission.
Show listed on The Official Mike Oldfield
Information Service and Tubular.net websites.
Stereo recording: sbd? tv? fm?
"A great performance, sound is a solid B+ and sounds like
it is from a television broacast or possibly an FM transmission. It came to me labelled as
a soundboard, but sounds a bit compressed as a broacast would be......still a great
download....enjoy!!!
The original trade CD came to me with a date of 12/18/80 on it, but I can only find one
show in Dortmund for that tour and it was 12/20/80. The information below is taken from
Mike's Official website: On 31 October QE2 was issued.
The primary consequence for Mike of the second tour was pecuniary. Post QE2, he said,
"I'm not into losing money any more. You know, in that first tour I really wanted to
take the whole thing on - now I'd have somebody to look after the orchestra. They're
nearly all MU members and they nearly went on strike on us about eight times. As soon as
they see a TV camera they start demanding money. I've even thought about doing gigs
completely by myself." |
